Water Sacred is a group exhibition featuring the work of nine artists based in Michigan and beyond, and curated by Clara DeGalan. These artists work in romantic, conceptual, and technological realms, spanning various media on the theme of the sanctity of water. This topic feels urgent now. The exhibition’s title, Water Sacred, is drawn from an Algonquin water blessing traditionally sung by women. The song goes on to describe water as “the blood of the Earth.”
