As a native of Michigan, Casey Wise spent his youth at Point Lookout, a summer resort near Saginaw bay on Lake Huron. He attended the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration, and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he completed his Masters Degree in Printmaking. He worked in the advertising business in Detroit for twenty five years as a product illustrator. Some of his clients were General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, Mercedes Benz and NASA. In 1982, during his career as an illustrator, he joined the faculty at the College for Creative Studies where he taught drawing and rendering skills in the Department of Illustration. He is a past member of the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) in New York, The Boston Printmakers, the International Mezzotint Society and the United States Coast Guard Art Program. Casey exhibits in local, national and international exhibitions and is represented in the permanent collection of the United States Coast Guard.
Casey is currently retired and lives in Ortonville, Michigan where he continues to pursue his creative interests.
