Submit an entry for the exhibition
The Scarab Club invites submissions for its annual Blooms, Bugs, Beasts Exhibition. It is an all-media exhibition, open to all artists 18 years or older. Theme: Flowers, insects, animals, landscapes and seascapes. The purpose of the Blooms, Bugs, Beasts Exhibition is to recognize the diversity and achievement of artists whose work shows creativity of concept, excellence of design and expertise of media; to display these works to regional audiences and to be an educational opportunity for students. 

Detroit native Matthew Hanna studied fine art at the College for Creative Studies with a concentration in sculpture. As a curator, he has organized exhibitions for the Willis Gallery, Grey Gallery, Detroit Artists Market and Alley Culture. As a museum professional, he has worked on exhibitions for the Detroit Artists Market, Pewabic Pottery, Center Galleries (CCS), the Ford Gallery at Wayne County Community College District, and currently at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. As an artist, he has exhibited in many Detroit galleries and widely across the United States including Michigan, New York, Florida, New Mexico and Wisconsin. 

Scarab Club members and full time students pay a discounted entry fee of $20 for up to three images; Entry fee for all other artists is $25 for up to three images; Up to three additional images may be submitted, at $5 for each additional image.
