Submission Guidelines:
ELIGIBILITY
Participation is open to all artists 18 years or older.
ENTRY FEE
Scarab Club members and full time students pay a discounted entry fee of $20 for up to three images; Entry fee for all other artists is $25 for up to three images; Up to three additional images may be submitted, at $5 for each additional image.

The Scarab Club invites submissions for its annual exhibition of contemporary photography. It is an unthemed exhibition, open to all artists 18 years or older. Works may also include video, mixed media and alternative photographic processes.

The purpose of the 50th Annual Scarab Club Photography Exhibition is to recognize the diversity and achievement of artists whose work shows creativity of concept, excellence of design and expertise of media; to display these works to regional audiences and to be an educational opportunity for students.

JUROR
Ralph Jones has been experimenting with the photographic process since the age of 10. In 2007, after concluding a 30 year career in the auto industry, he renewed his passion for photography. While traveling abroad he discovered the perception of Detroit, his hometown, was quite different than his personal experiences. Since then he has been documenting the city of Detroit in an attempt to inspire an appreciation and understanding of the uniqueness of the city, her buildings, and her people. As a result of this documentation, he has developed a second career as a photographer, editor, publisher, exhibiting artist and educator.

FILES
Files should be 1200 dpi on longest side and no larger than 2mgs.

When uploading files on EntryThingy, DO NOT CLICK ‘SUBMIT’ until ALL images have been uploaded.

JURY RESULTS
Artists will be notified of jury results via the email address they have submitted. Results will be emailed Saturday, April 24, 5 pm. Jury results are automatically generated–PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE by April 24th. 
ACCEPTED WORK
Work must be mounted and framed in a professional manner and properly wired for hanging. Clip-on and poster frames are not acceptable. Artists are responsible for any special hardware and instructions for installation. Artists submitting videos must supply all equipment necessary to view their work, as well as secure it to the wall/pedestal.

SHIPPED WORKS
must arrive no later than Thursday, May 6th. Shipping to and from the venue are the responsibility of the artist. Please include a return shipping label when shipping your work.
SALES
All works must be for sale. No ‘Price on Request’. Price may not change after entry. SC members pay 30% commission; all other artists pay 45%. Artists will be paid for sold work within 30 days of the close of the exhibition.
