Curated by Holly Strawbridge

August 31-October 15, 2016

Reception: Friday, September 9, 7-10 pm

Through comparison, relation, and practice, Feather J. Chiaverini redefines taboos through practical craft. Utilizing his skill in fiber manipulation, Feather aims brings the voice of others that are not so often heard; by leveraging the white male artist’s elevated platform, all with the objective of educating and expanding the community. Through various collaborations, his work also serves as a platform for marginalized majorities in the contemporary art world. Feather is a sophomore Fibers major at the College for Creative Studies, a recipient of the Walter B. Ford full-tuition scholarship, and a graduate of New World School for the Arts in Miami, FL.
