On Sunday March 18, 2018 the Detroit Blues Heritage Series will present
“Women of Detroit Blues/Mothers and Daughters” featuring Airey B. and
Karen Lawrence (also known as Zoom).
This very special Sunday edition of the Detroit Blues Heritage Series will take place
on March 18,2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM at the Historic Scarab Club. The
Scarab Club is located at 217 Farnsworth in Detroit’s Cultural Center. A $5.00
Donation is requested.

We are excited to bring her to our stage! Her Daughter Airey B. (B for Blues) received her first piano at age 2 and continued to show a talent for performing
through High School. She decided on a career performing the Blues with her
mother’s encouragement. Airey B. has the voice of Bessie Smith and plays both
piano and Guitar. She will be opening the show.
Backing these artist are a cast of Detroit Blues veterans led by Bandleader and
guitarist Paul Carey.
