Scarab Club Photography Group: Focus
The group will meet on the last Friday of each month after the SC reopens
The Scarab Club is happy to announce that we will be bringing back long-running SC photography group, which will be reintroduced as Focus. With a mission to expand and nurture the perspective of photographers from our community, it will be a monthly group meeting offered to members of the Scarab Club, with a free trial for interested non-members. Meetings will include discussions based on the practice of image making from a fine art perspective of the medium. Programming will include:
- Creative workshops that introduce alternative practices of creating images
- Matting framing, and presenting finished pieces in a professional manner
- Constructive critiques
- Guest speakers
Offering this and so much more, Focus will bring image makers together to discuss ideas and concepts, creating dialogues and relationships between like-minded photographers. Starting when the SC reopens, the meetings will be held from 6-8 pm, on the last Friday of each month, during the SC Happy Hour. The meetings will be organized by photographer and SC gallery assistant Christopher Gene, and led by talented photographers, Heather Gardner and Chris Schneider.
