This presentation was given at the Scarab Club on June 4, 2015.
In the United States, the Gilded Age to the Art Deco period remains the undisputed high point of the art of stained glass. Detroit boasted windows by the country’s leading designers including Louis Comfort Tiffany and John La Farge. Many of these windows had visual links to the craft on the East Coast and Europe. This talk examines those links.

Julie L. Sloan is a stained glass consultant providing condition studies, restoration specifications, project management, appraisals, and historical research.
