Lectures & Talks at The Scarab Club

The Burroughs Lecture series brings artists and art historians to the Scarab Club for lectures on American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. The lecture is sometimes combined with a festive dinner to welcome the speaker. The lecture series has hosted such diverse talents as Michele Oka Doner, Michael Hodges, and Barbara Haskell, to name a few.

Gallery talks are planned to accompany each exhibition and are often the curator, juror, or one of the artists. These informal and freewheeling talks allow time to discuss the works in the show with one or more speakers.
